The Comfort Probe is a medical-grade internal vaginal probe designed for pelvic floor stimulation with an NMES device. Made from quality TPE plastic with two stainless-steel electrodes, it has a larger lateral stimulation area than most probes, so a wider area of the pelvic floor is reached by each impulse. Its smooth, comfortable shape makes it an easy, reassuring choice if you are new to pelvic floor stimulation.
The two metal electrode strips run along the length of the probe, so it is inserted sideways, facing hip to hip, to give the best contact with the muscles. It works with NMES pelvic toners that use symmetrical and asymmetrical waveforms, including NeuroTrac units, and is suitable for both home and professional clinical use. A lead wire is required to connect it to your device and is sold separately.

About this probe
The Comfort Probe is an internal vaginal probe used together with a pelvic floor stimulator. It carries the electrical stimulation from your device to the pelvic floor muscles, prompting them to contract and relax in a controlled pattern. Its two stainless-steel electrodes have a large lateral surface area, so each impulse reaches a wider spread of muscle than most probes manage, giving effective, even stimulation.
Made from smooth, body-safe TPE plastic, it is shaped to feel comfortable and reassuring, which makes it a good first probe if you are new to pelvic floor stimulation. It works with NMES pelvic toners that use symmetrical or asymmetrical waveforms, including NeuroTrac units, and is suitable for both home and professional clinical use.
What to expect
The sensation
You will feel a gentle tingling or pulsing, followed by a noticeable muscle contraction. It should never be painful. Start at a low intensity and increase gradually until you feel a comfortable contraction.
Session length
Session length is set by the programme on your stimulator, typically around 20 to 30 minutes. Follow the guidance of your device and your clinician.
How often
Regular, consistent use gives the best results. Your physiotherapist can advise on the right frequency for you and your symptoms.
Getting started
Connect the lead wire
The probe connects to your stimulator using a lead wire, which is required and sold separately. Plug the lead wire into the base of the probe and into your device before you begin.
Insert the probe
Apply a water-based conductivity gel for the best contact and comfort, then insert the probe gently. Because the electrodes run along its length, insert it sideways so the metal strips face either hip.
Select your programme
Choose the appropriate programme on your stimulator for your symptoms. Your physiotherapist can recommend the most suitable starting point if you are unsure.
Set the intensity
Begin at zero and increase slowly until you feel a clear but comfortable muscle contraction. It should not be painful. Your effective level may rise gradually over time as your tolerance builds.
Is it right for me?
Well suited for
Consult your GP first if you
The Comfort Probe is a CE-marked medical device intended for use with a compatible pelvic floor stimulator. Clean with warm soapy water and pat or air dry, and do not sterilise. If you have not previously been assessed for pelvic floor dysfunction, a consultation with a pelvic health physiotherapist before purchase is advised.
